The Arts Enrichment Camp is a program, which fosters the development of performing arts skills in children (ages 7-18). The participants will be allowed performance opportunities to work with theatre and film professionals from artistic, and music directors to choreographers, filmmakers, and stage managers.
Objective: Providing an alternative solution to the absence of Performing Arts programming in underserved areas of the mid-south, through the facilitation of performance and workshops. Students will develop enrichment skills that will make them more marketable: combatting existing socioeconomic deficiencies that threaten to hinder advancement.
The camp provides the Mid-South and surrounding communities with a live theater performance, which parallels a professional company. The young performers in these productions will not only be on the stage but will be trained in off-stage duties as well such as stage managing, hair and makeup, lighting, sound, film, and photography.
Ages 7-18 are welcomed.
Dates: July 15th - July 19th
Time: 8am - 4pm.
Final Performance Friday, July 19th at 6:30pm.
